Program Evaluation
Having the right data collection tools is essential for collecting the right data. Having the rights tools ensures your data are accurate, that they measure what you intend to measure, and that you're able to use those results to shift practice.
Whether you are looking to gather feedback regarding a program shift, better understand how different stakeholders experience your organization, or create a central hub for data entry and collection, with my background in statistical techniques and social science research, I can help you get there. Data Coaching
Improve your staff's understanding and use of data. I offer many training options. For those who would like to improve their Microsoft Excel skills, I offer courses from Beginner to Advanced. Additionally, I can coach your staff to effectively use data to make programmatic, school, or classroom-based decisions.
If staff in your organization seem overwhelmed with the amount of data available to them and are not sure how to use it, I can help them to identify the key data elements they want to track, help them establish data review protocols, and teach them how to use their data to tell compelling stories of progress and change.
Dashboards help leaders monitor progress towards the organization's goals and see trends over time. Depending on your preferences, I can create dashboards using Tableau Visualization software, Microsoft Excel, Google Looker Studio, or another platform.
Educators use dashboards to understand important data points at a glance. These may include students' academic performance, Human Resource trends, budgeting and spending, enrollment trends, student demographics as well as survey data. Non-profits may find it useful to have dashboards that display financials, volunteer engagement, and other essential data.
I work with your data analyst(s) to connect existing information systems to the dashboards so that visualizations are always up-to-date and relevant for your work.
Data Process Auditing
I work with leadership in your organization to understand your data needs. Then I shadow staff and/or departments to understand existing data practices. The auditing process considers at all aspects of data use, from data collection to sharing.
I provide leadership with a report of my findings, including suggestions for improvement. These suggestions may include developing or improving data collection practices, creating technical solutions for data management, training staff on the use of data tools or data cleaning, or routinizing time-consuming data tasks.
Once the audit is complete, I work with leadership to determine whether my services can be used to implement these improvements. If requested, I will help establish the data processes that meet your needs.
Data Visualization
Are you looking to begin a strategic planning process with your team? Or perhaps continue a process that was already started? Strategic planning is one of the most important activities an organization can undertake. But it is also time and energy intensive.
I provide educators with the additional support and guidance they need to plan for the future, while laying a strong foundation that will direct the work of the organization. We collaborate to identify your key planning team, map out team meetings, clarify organizational goals, identify strategic initiatives, analyze relevant data, create logic models, and monitor progress.
